  • Essay / Essay by Wilbur Wright - 834

On April 16, 1867 and August 19, 1871, the world changed and no one knew it yet; it was the time when two of the most intelligent human beings in the world were born. On April 16, a child named Wilbur Wright was born in Millville, Indiana and on August 19, his brother Orville Wright was born in Dayton Ohio. Over time, the family became stronger and stronger, improving year by year, instead of declining. As Wilbur and Orville grew up, they took most of their mechanical advice from their mother and all of their intellectual advice from their father. who worked in a church. Since their father worked for the church, he brought home many things for them. One day, after finishing his work, he went to buy a toy helicopter for the two brothers and it changed the world forever. When he did this, the Wright brothers sparked their interest in the art of flight. When they received their toy, the design of it was based on a French man named Alphonse Penaud, who made great advances in the art of flight, during the 1860s and 1870s. Alphonse Penaud developed a Planophore in which he could only fly for a short time. When their father, Milton Wright, moved their family to Richmond, Indiana, it was solely because of his job in which he became a circuit preacher. In doing so, he became a great promoter of the publication of religious newspapers. After his rise, he invented a machine in which papers were folded just for sending letters and which showed perseverance for engineering. After manufacturing the folder, the Wright family returned to Dayton, Ohio in 1884. When the Wright brothers settled into their new life in Dayton, Ohio, things went very well for them. Wilbur was a complete stallion and was going to get a...... middle of paper ......e called the elevator in which controlled all vertical angles of the nose; and finally, they added the key part which was a movable rudder, which was to connect to the wing warping mechanism to prevent the plane from spinning out of control and control the forward motion of the plane. While Orville and Wilbur were testing the third glider in North Carolina, the plane flew approximately 622 feet in an incredible twenty-six seconds. When gliders achieved complete success, it made them the world's controllable aircraft. The Wright brothers weren't finished, however, as they still had to build a propulsion system; so they built an engine with the help of a mechanic. He must have helped design a transmission and large set of propellers for their plane at least through the 1930s. At first, they tested the plane at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, in late September. 1903.
