We see these girls walking, we see these celebrities who look very perfect in every way we want them to be, we see these big breasts in swimsuit and we see these perfect shapes and appearance. Plastic and cosmetic surgery has become a “consumer good” and people mostly buy them all the time. People who are considering plastic and cosmetic surgeries are the ones who should really consider it, as well as those who can't even afford it. This is because they don't know the results. I think people get plastic and cosmetic surgery for the wrong reasons, because they do it for their birthday, their graduation or just as a gift. It's important that people who really need it can get it. If there are no defects or messes, this should not be necessary. For example, “Amanda, 24, an optician in suburban Michigan, receives a gift of a tummy tuck” (Dana 13). We should be concerned because too much money is spent on plastic and cosmetic surgery. Instead of using this money to undergo surgeries that aren't really necessary, they can use it to donate to children or people who need it more. We should be careful because we don't know what kind of results we will get if we undergo the surgical procedures. We need to worry about this because people often die from a mistake while undergoing plastic and cosmetic surgery. We need to worry about this because these plastic and cosmetic surgeries don't really last forever, the majority will only last maybe a decade or so.
