Critical Analysis of J Alfred Prufrock's Love Song came back to “us” (Pagnattaro). However, when I started reading this poem, these changes confused me greatly. I started to think Prufrock was being selfish rather than thinking he was dehumanizing himself because he felt sorry for himself. After reading Pagnattaro's critical essay explaining why he felt the way he felt, I was able to better understand the changes.
