Animal testing is an immoral, heinous and atrocious act. You should never put an animal before your own life; we are all here on earth due to one current of evolution or another, making prejudice and other discrimination (male or not) obsolete and meaningless. Those who think themselves above another creature are each failures in their own way. Animal rights cannot be questioned, it is an inalienable fact that most do not understand, when thought about without prejudice and without the scourge of arrogance, as Arthur Schopenhauer once said : “The assumption that animals are without rights and the illusion that our treatment of them has no moral significance is an utterly scandalous example of Western crudeness and barbarism. Universal compassion is the only guarantee of morality. In a society as indisputably advanced as man, a society in which even the consumption of meat is an indulgence and in no way necessary, the duty to treat all life with something other than a central nervous system is nothing less than a law. that many of us seem to be breaking down; testing on animals for our own benefit is probably the most disgusting thing any of us can participate in. Any self-aware being would surely be aware of the crime committed, the universal crime of putting another being behind one's own selfish desires. Excuses such as “it’s for the common good” and “we are above animals” are grotesque. If torture is for the greater good, then I'm not sure that that good is something I want to see. Curing diseases at the cost of animal lives is immoral, and no one has the right to make this decision. Although the word evil is as useful as good, animal testing is one of the things that can only be considered a crime on a cosmic level. There is nothing good that comes from an atrocity like this, at least nothing worth the price. The human race can only hope that we can forgive ourselves in the future, when we all understand the basics of right and wrong..
