    While Hammond considers this type of genetic engineering a duty, Davis (2008) argues that the use of genetic engineering on children is unconditional love saying, "just like us should unconditionally love existing children, just as we should unconditionally accept any child we have in the natural course of thingsā€ (p. 259). Additionally, it could potentially put people with disabilities at a greater disadvantage than they already are. People will focus on disability prevention and end up forgetting the large portion of society made up of people with disabilities. This will greatly affect the disabled community as it will demonstrate that society as a whole discriminates against the disabled.
