    Numerous studies have demonstrated that a strong combination of religious practice and stable marital relationships contributes to a strong and prosperous next generation. The argument for religion in college hostels begins with the country's rising divorce rate. Children strive to do better in school with strong parental influence. This cannot be achieved if a child has to be transferred between each parent or worse; that a parent is completely irrelevant. Religious practice is associated with strong marital stability and would help curb the alarming trend in divorce rates in the United States. Another feeling that children gain from having a religion in the home is their educational determination. A study conducted showed that the level of education is higher in religious homes. Children will perform much better in school if they show more initiative in learning than if they just show up to class. Finally, religion deters acts of domestic violence within the home. This claim is supported by a study that found men who attend religious services are 50% less likely to hurt their wives than their peers who attend religious service once a year or less. Domestic violence in the home can seriously distract and discourage a child from continuing their education, as thoughts of depression and anger may become present. There is no one-size-fits-all solution to all of this, but an injection of religion into modern homes would help restore the strong support system that students need and
