    The purpose of the education system is to teach. People are expected to learn as much as they can and are encouraged to master these subjects well in order to succeed in life. However, schools limit sources of knowledge to individuals who can provide such in-depth understanding. Books are banned from the library because they contain curses, nudity, or any other facet of the real world deemed "inappropriate." Teachers cannot say any long sentences about creation or evolution, nor any school text, lest someone be offended by defending their beliefs. Rather than what you are allowed to learn in school, it is the knowledge gained through your personal efforts that empowers them and frees them from societal expectations. Pursuing self-education provides a wider scope for learning. There will be no censorship, nor lack of material at your disposal. You are free to acquire a plethora of literary information that would not be permitted in a school library.
