    Every true Elizabethan tragedy is accompanied by a tragic hero. The tragedy Macbeth, written by William Shakespeare, presents a perfect example of a tragic hero, otherwise known as Macbeth. A tragic hero must be a great and admirable man in many ways. He must be placed in society in such a way that whatever he does affects everyone in his society. A tragic hero should at some point reach the top of the Wheel of Fortune, but land at the bottom at the end of the tragedy due to the continual change of fate. Macbeth fits the description of a tragic hero, displaying his strengths, weaknesses, tragic flaw, and the influence of outside influences on him. Lady Macbeth is described as Macbeth's villain due to her evil, mischievous and fearsome temperament. Lady Macbeth is able to simply manipulate her husband while Macbeth only thinks he is doing the heroic thing to become king. Macbeth is a tragic hero who causes suffering by committing murder and suffering, illustrating the negative effects of a bloodthirsty desire for power. Lady Macbeth torments her husband Macbeth by performing the evil act of murder which leads her to become the villain. Macbeth begins in this play as a loyal and trustworthy warrior who later considers himself a king. When the witches confront Macbeth about the prophecy that he would become king, his aspiration is thwarted by his physical boldness and ambiguity. The witches' prophecy about Macbeth makes him restless and wonders if he is destined to become king. Macbeth ends up suffering Duncan's murder. After the murder, Macbeth's morals and judgment begin to become opaque. Guilt begins Macbeth in the middle of a paper......trying to make the prophecy of Duncan's murder a reality until Lady Macbeth makes him feel like a masqulin. Macbeth is now convinced that he must prove his manhood by becoming king and that he must achieve this by murdering Duncan. Although Lady Macbeth is portrayed as the villain, she must have someone else do what she wants, which prevents her from doing the dirty work. After Macbeth kills Duncan, it appears that Lady Macbeth helps by completing the murder by blaming someone other than her husband.
