    The Legacy of an Everyday Family “Everyday Use” by Alice Walker is the story of a mother and her two daughters and of their heritage. Heritage can be defined as inherited property; a birthright; or traditions and values ​​passed down to other generations of family members. The climax of the story is when Dee asks for two special quilts that Mom had promised Maggie. “But they are priceless!” “Maggie would put them on the bed and in five years they would be in rags.
