    World War Z was written by Max Brooks and published in 2007. Max has two other books that also deal with surviving a zombie apocalypse. The general maxim about zombie apocalypse books is that they are for pure entertainment; however, his books carry hidden messages related to modern society. World War Z is an exceptional book of entertainment and knowledge. The book was made into a film starring Brad Pitt due to the many compliments Max Brooks received from readers. No book has captivated the zombie apocalypse better than World War Z. Max Brooks creatively presents "a global zombie pandemic, from outbreak to its aftermath." (Boyd, Tristan). His book encompasses many social and political themes in today's world. The book reveals true fear and shows the strength of the human race. World War Z was written as a collection of stories from around the world about the war against zombies. These stories cover events before and after the war. I really appreciate how Brooks took the initiative to depict the early stages of the infestation throughout the time period....
