Essay / Reasons to Watch Horror Movies and Horror Movies
SPEAKER CREDIBILITY: I love horror movies, in fact, I would rather watch a horror movie than any other genre. There's something about the thrills that send shivers down my spine and excite me and make me want more blood. I am charismatically attracted to horror films and at the same time disgusted by them. For years, I have observed monsters in various forms hunting young victims in homes and dark alleys, with knives, chainsaws, drills, axes and other weapons. The violence is so predictable that I often know when the bad guys will appear, who will die, and in what order. The arrangements of the murderous images are familiar, but nonetheless disconcerting. At night, after watching a horror movie, I turn on an extra light to relieve my discomfort, sometimes I even resort to sleeping with my mother and putting on a happy cartoon. Try not to get so emotionally involved1. instead of shouting run girl every time the killer approaches, try laughing at the little white girls who always trip for nothing or at the ones who stand still and scream when they could have run away from the killer which takes a really long time to walk2. try to derive some sort of pleasure from the characters' deaths.
