Essay / The Effects of Anabolic Steroids - 1478
Steroids (anabolic) are a drug discovered and manufactured by medical scientists in the 1930s to solve medical problems. The drug was designed to help with many medical issues such as testosterone, growth, sexual functioning and other medical issues such as helping HIV positive people develop their music. It also helps fight many other diseases. Like any other medication on the market, people learn that this medication can be used in many other ways. Steroids can improve the performance of athletes as well as bodybuilders and are used in almost all sports. Steroid use has become a widespread problem. The use of steroids has caused many problems related to the misuse of the drug and has made its use in any type of sport illegal. Steroids are only prescribed to people who need them for medical problems. The way anabolic steroids work lies in the release of hormones. They can change the sexual characteristics of the body. When changing these characteristics, the body can become confused and have the opposite effect on the body. They accelerate the growth of muscles and bones in the body. Steroids can be taken by injection into the muscles, orally, or even used in the form of skin gels or creams. When using injections, they could spread some life-threatening illnesses such as HIV and hepatitis B and C. People who abuse this drug use 10 to 100 times more than they should if a doctor had prescribed it. They also misuse the term pyramiding; with this, they use steroids more and more slowly. (According to the National Institute on Drug Abuse.) . They combine several different types of steroids, which is called stacking.
