Gates' parents always thought their son was going to become a lawyer like his father, but he ended up becoming interested in computers in seventh grade. In high school, he befriended a guy named Paul Allen who was interested in computers, just like Gates. Both ended up starting businesses while still in high school. They ended up having to pay $20,000 in fees. Gates was not allowed to use computers his entire freshman year because he was caught accessing the cybernet. He ended up helping Allen again the following year, helping to develop a timetable program for their school.....
