Essay / Global Warming - 1052
Think about global warming and all the effects it can have not only on the earth but also on ourselves. Global warming has been a major problem for years, but what we really need to do is take this issue seriously. It has been proven to cause many health problems, destroy different habitats and ruin the clean air we breathe daily. Humans are the main cause of global warming. Due to global warming, climate change, greenhouse gases and pollutants are negatively impacting the world. Believe it or not, but because of global warming and climate change, it can have positive effects for us and the world. On the one hand, the advantages of this situation are that a warmer climate would produce the greatest temperature gain, which would produce longer growing seasons and open more territory to agriculture. Another positive aspect of climate change that you've probably never thought about but makes sense is that higher temperatures combined with more CO2 will promote plant growth and provide more food for all of our populations. As good as these positives may seem, it also has major negative effects on the earth and on us. For example, in 2002, Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon experienced the worst wildfire seasons. Another statistic indicates that in 2003, extreme heat waves caused more than 21,500 deaths worldwide. These deaths occurred due to severe heat waves. And the dry heat is due to forest fires. This could ruin the food supply by burning the crops we grow for our food supply. (Weart, Spencer. “The Discovery of Global Warming” American Institute of Physics (2003-2013). Web). It must be said that five degrees of temperature variation are expected within a hundred years for the n... ... middle of paper ...... power plants from non-polluting sources and suppression of gas thanks to the energy efficiency. Addressing CO2 pollution from the hundreds of existing fossil fuel power plants in the United States is a crucial step. Global warming, its causes and effects, there are things that can be done, such as reducing pollution by reducing the reliance on fossil fuels and increasing our clean, renewable energy.
