They are attracted by the free toy that comes with the children's meal. Restaurants agree to include a toy with the purchase of one of these meals. “One of the most powerful marketing tools used by fast food restaurants is the promise of a toy with the purchase of a children's meal” (Ipatenco). One way to make these meals even more popular is to put well-known cartoon characters in the children's meal. Children are also attracted to the playgrounds of these restaurants. Fast foods seem fun to children and that is why they are so attracted to them. Nothing is more fun for a child than receiving a free toy with their meal and then going to play in the playground after eating. On-site televisions that show popular shows and movies are another way fast food restaurants use fun to attract children to their restaurants. One last important thing that fast food restaurants do to attract children is to offer competitions, free samples and free gifts. The United States is a fast food country. Americans rely on fast food every day. The fast food industry statistics speak for themselves. I know it's hard to believe, but there are people in this world who don't like fast food. These people are trying to stop Americans from eating there. Nothing can stop the growing popularity of fast food. Fast food will remain one of the most popular foods in the United States.
