Chronicles Peyton's important events and developmental milestonesIntroductionMy daughter's name is Peyton Lynn Hetherington. Peyton had a normal delivery. The labor lasted about ten hours and was done naturally. A natural childbirth is a group of techniques aimed at reducing pain and medical interventions and making childbirth as rewarding as possible (Harris, Sara). I'm proud that my "team" was able to use the natural breathing and relaxation techniques of childbirth. My partner and I were amazed by our angel Peyton. My partner and I are adjusting well so far with the new member of our family. We take turns with Peyton and my partner has been very helpful. After spending three months at home with Peyton, returning to work was the only financial option for our family, and we decided to hire a babysitter for Peyton. Peyton developed an interest in his surroundings. This is called differentiation theory when infants actively seek out invariant features of their environment (Harris, Sara). She smiles at familiar people, toys and animals and leads him to develop many really cute habits. Peyton set a new direction; she has focused her eyes on me and spends a lot of time studying my face and that of everyone who comes near her. This is an example of the pre-attachment phase, which is when a newborn comes into close contact with humans who comfort them. Darwin had two theories about the key principles of the theory of evolution. One is natural selection, a species achieving characteristics suited to its environment (Darwin, Charles). The other is survival of the fittest, which is when an individual best adapts to its environment, survives to reproduce, and its genes are passed on to later generations...... middle of paper ...... be careful when the child attends to the same object or event as the caregiver (Harris, Sara). Object permanence, which includes that objects continue to exist when out of sight, was almost mastered by Peyton. Works Cited Harris, Sara and Laura E. Berk.
