  • Essay / Hollywood Walk Of Fame - 1001

The Walk of Fame is a tourist destination where people from all over the world come. From India to Japan, London and parts of America, different cultures experience Hollywood. People dressed in shirts that say "I Love LA" and hats that say LA with their cameras hanging around their necks are the typical stereotype of a tourist and it's true. While my father was taking photos of me on site, there was this Japanese family blocking the star I wanted to take. Personally, I didn't want to be rude and move out, but on the other hand, my father had an irritated look on his face and said to the family, "please excuse me." They walked away and my dad took a photo of me sitting on the black marble sidewalk next to Queen star Latifah. There is always a tourist bus that stops every hour to admire the Walk of Fame. I have seen this company every time I come to visit, called Starline Tours. Starline Tours' main terminal is on the Walk of Fame, across from the Grumman Chinese Theater. Many tourists take photos in front of the Walk of Fame tour bus. Since the Walk of Fame represents the American way of life, it shows how people continue to progress and remain committed to getting their name out there to earn a star on the Walk of Fame.
