    Imagine yourself in a situation where you could never eat enough in one day because you weren't sure if there would be a meal waiting for you the next day . Imagine if those considered poor fell from even higher heights and landed in an even deeper pocket of despair. Imagine if the poorer you were, the hungrier you were. Hunger made you weak, and because of this weakness, you began to have difficulty thinking clearly and functioning properly. Imagine if you needed to find work to support a family, but couldn't muster the strength to look for a job because you first had to find food to have the energy to to move. Imagine that if wealth, power, and even wealth made no difference to your situation, all could be lost and nothing could be gained. Imagine that despite everything that has happened, a man comes to you and tells you that all the difficulties you faced were just temporary inconveniences. He tells you that the difficulties of dismay are not stronger than you and that you will move forward with your head held high. Would you believe this man? Now imagine living during the Great Depression. The Wall Street Crash of 1929 brought an end to the thriving and opulent United States economy in the late 1920s. The crash caused the greatest economic disaster ever to hit the United States and led many people to lose everything they owned with no chance of ever getting it back. Simple luxuries and basic necessities were no longer available to most individuals. They were a thing of the past, and as time passed, they seemed to disappear completely from their grasp.
