Parapsychology is the study of unusual events commonly associated with human experience. It's scientific and erudite compared to the "Psychic" you see on the street corner. Parapsychology is also not the study of ETs or UFOs. Parapsychologists are often mistakenly called psychics, because that's what comes up when you look for one in the phone book. However, parapsychologists study mediums. These scientists use human experiences such as extrasensory perception (ESP) psychokinesis, out-of-body experience, near-death experience, and reincarnation to study the supernatural world. These paranormal activities are studied by mediums. Extrasensory perception, called “ESP,” involves obtaining information through senses beyond the typical five human senses. Such examples of ESP include telepathy, precognition, remote viewing, and déjà vu. Telepathy is essentially communication between two or more people or things without actual sound. A form of teleempathy is commonly thought to be present between identical twins and sometimes fraternal twins. “My wife and I are very close so she understood that she had these terrible chest pains. However, she wondered why her legs, below the knees, were swollen and hurt badly” (Anders Tele-empathy Sec.). This quote from Rich Anders helps drive home the message that tele-empathy is real and that it is not exclusive to twins, but can occur between two very close people. One story about this includes a young girl living in Yugoslavia during World War II, accompanied at all times by a bodyguard. It exploded. Accounts of near-death experiences claim that we do not reincarnate immediately after death. The reason is that time does not exist in the spiritual realms” (Williams par. 4). During reincarnation you have time between death and your "new birth" and we know this from near death experiences like Eben Alexander's near death experience. . NDEs tell us that there is time in the spiritual realms, so if reincarnation is actually real, then we can choose when to reincarnate. In conclusion, I believe that these paranormal acts could be true, but I know of no other way to prove these theories other than these methods that parapsychologists use to study the abnormal world. These research topics answered my question and made me understand what exactly parapsychologists do and how they can prove the paranormal world is real or not..
