I am an undergraduate student in electronics and communications engineering and have applied for a graduate program in electrical engineering at the University Of New Heavens. My career goal is to pursue research in the field of communication. I strongly believe that an opportunity to pursue higher education will help me achieve my goal of being one of the top professionals in the field. I carried out a mini-project on the electric pyro fire alarm. This project is designed to detect an increase in ambient temperature due to heat. An ordinary piezo element of the Buzzer is used as a fire sensor. The lead crystals in the piezo element have the property of deforming and generating an electric potential when heated. Unlike Thermister-based fire sensors, this circuit can detect a temperature increase of 10 degrees and sounds an alarm even before the fire breaks out. If the temperature continues due to a fire, it automatically activates a relay which can be used to turn on a water sprayer or a solenoid pump to spray water or foam to stop the fire. And my major project is the design and implementation of an RFID mutual authentication protocol. Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a wireless technology that uses radio communication to identify objects with a unique electrical identity. The widespread deployment of RFID technologies may generate new threats to user security and privacy. A hardware implementation of the mutual authentication protocol for the RFID system was simulated using Modelsim XE II and synthesized using Xilinx synthesis technology. The project experience revealed the hidden skills in me. Projects being group work taught me the virtues of group coordination, continuous interaction and teamwork which are essential qualities needed... middle of paper ...... in leagues like the inter-school cricket tournament. During my pre-university studies, I was the captain of my cricket team and still played in various tournaments. After graduation, I plan to pursue my career in the communications field. I am strongly encouraged to progress as far as possible in this exciting science and I am convinced that applying to the University Of New Heavens is the best possible step to achieve this. My knowledge, skills and abilities as a good student and researcher give me confidence that I will work to the standards set by the university.
