1) Research problem: The problem evident in the article "The nurse managed the Limpopo hospital (1)" is due to the fact that there is Poor management in the clinics and hospitals causes health problems for patients. This is because poorly managed hospitals result in doctors and other staff missing work or being late. Another problem is that due to poor management, treatment is not appropriate when patients are very ill. It is obvious that this poses health problems for patients, since there have been four infant deaths. This is due to incompetent managers forcing nurses to run the hospital when they should be treating patients. This is also because nurses have to take on additional roles, which may be outside the professional scope, and therefore do not meet the standards in the areas in which they are expected to practice. Rationale for the research problem: a) The article and therefore the research problem raises concern that nurses and possibly other healthcare practitioners are practicing outside the area in which they were previously trained. b) It raises concern that there is poor management, which is the cause of infant deaths. The fact that the hospital is poorly managed leads to poor treatment of patients treated there and therefore affects their experience.c) It also raises concerns that some health professionals in the hospital hospital, like doctors, do not work or are late for work.
