From the beginning of this film, we are immersed in a scene where K and his partner go to the dessert to respond to an illegal "Alien" who is trying to cross the border, it turns out to be a real alien. What tells us it's an alien is the use of this original sound effect created by the sound designer, it's hard to describe, but we're going to leave in an alien growl. This leads to an action sequence that ends with the alien being shot and exploding everywhere. Keep in mind that everything happened in the first eight minutes, so obviously the director is really trying to immerse us in this film and make us comfortable with what this universe is from the get-go. Once the scene is over we are shown a black armored truck stopping near the alien's scene and we get a little taste of the MIB theme since it is a MIB cleanup crew. By mixing it all together, it creates a perfect atmosphere in which the rest of the films are presented.
