Not all teachers possess the recognizable attributes of a master teacher. A master teacher must know how to express enthusiasm for learning, he must have the ability to touch each of our lives personally, he must know how to encourage us to have high goals, and he must know how to help us achieve those goals. I have had many teachers over the years, but I know one who possessed these qualities. And through her, I learned what it would take for me to become a master teacher. I consider my fifth grade teacher to be a master teacher for many different reasons. It was her first year teaching and it was obvious that she was very enthusiastic about it, and through this, my classmates and I became very enthusiastic about learning.
