Even though the literature on organizational communication provides the model, it remains silent on the different types of messages and channels and their effects on employees. We can gather this information from general communication literature and marketing paradigms. It therefore becomes necessary to consider organizational communication from the perspective of internal marketing. Hypothesis formation The main goal of organizational communication is to research and understand the communication process within organizations and then develop ways to improve its mechanisms. To this end, various communication researchers have focused on understanding the obstacles that stand in the way of effective communication in organizations. Some of the main barriers identified are interpersonal barriers or personal barriers, some arising from individual differences and characteristics and others being systemic barriers or barriers resulting from organizational structure, systems and processes.
