    In the period between the 1920s and 1940s, women's roles in films could be multi-dimensional and women could play different types of complex roles in different films. However, they were still presented as some of the same stereotypes in these different films. In today's films, women often embody these stereotypes, but they tend to be stuck in the same type of role over and over again. They are overly sexualized and not seen as real, complex human beings. They tend to have films that revolve solely around men's lives and even when films are about women, beneath the surface we may notice that women's lives often revolve around men, whether it be trying to win their love, have their children or even help. them when they are the heroes.
