The chosen careers to analyze are Event Manager and Theater Producer, both of which will be considered as future career options. To do this, the case study will focus on the responsibilities of practitioners in these careers, the opportunities and challenges they may face, the skills and abilities they need, the connections that exist between the careers and my own case study profile, as well as the steps I should take to advance my career aspirations. 2.0 Career Descriptions The first of the two careers analyzed is that of event manager, sometimes also called event organizer or event planner. Prospects UK (2012) describes event managers as those who are responsible for producing an event from conception to completion. This may include the initial planning and organization of the event, the development of a management plan to assist in preparation (Gascoyne Development Commission, nd) and the coordination of all aspects of the event on the day of its outfit (Prospects UK 2012). ). This career was chosen because I feel I enjoy the creative aspects of planning my own unique, memorable and enjoyable events.
