It's just an expectation that I'm going to have in my classroom. I don't think students should be rewarded for meeting expectations, but if they don't meet expectations they should face consequences. The only time I would reward students is if they exceeded the expectations I set for them. The ultimate goal of my classroom management plan is to model the behavior I expect from my students. I want to teach them self-discipline through my management strategies. I want to teach them not only a subject, but also how to function as a human being. I want them to learn skills in my class that they can take with them and use throughout their lives. I want to teach them to be responsible for their own actions and to monitor their own actions.
