National and universal health care is not only a global issue, but also an even larger topic in the United States. For what? Because America does not yet support and fund a single-payer national health care system for its citizens. Many brilliant presidents, insecure people, and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights have addressed this issue. Being one of the few industrialized countries without a national health care system places the United States further behind many satisfied countries, justly and socially. The history of the health care system and its conflicts dates back to the 1900s. A few brilliant political leaders attempted to provide our country with the decency of a national health care system, but failed. Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Carter, Clinton and Obama all attempted to pass health care reforms, and yes, two of those presidents were Republicans. Even though each character's plan differed from another, they still represented the same basic ideas and goals. They moved toward developing a health care plan that would cover everyone, but especially low-income families. One of the great advantages of a universal health system is that one can obtain universal coverage at a lower cost than that offered by larger financing methods. . Canada enjoys universal coverage, excellent health outcomes, minimal paperwork, and high public satisfaction, although decisions about coverage or reimbursement tend to become political. For decades, opposing views have existed regarding universal health care. Some have argued that universal health care would be too expensive and would bankrupt America.
