When comparing Indian laws with those of a country like Pakistan, India seems to be superior in this area as far as rights are concerned women and rape laws. Just like in India, Pakistan's rape laws only apply to crimes between a man and a woman, if the hymen is broken and wives are not required to report rape committed by their husbands, at unless she is 16 years of age or younger. Pakistani laws also stipulate that rape must be confessed by the accused man or by the testimony of at least four Muslim male eyewitnesses.
