    Canada should ban all trans fats in restaurantsWhat have trans fats ever done to you? Honestly, should we ban trans fats in this case or should we keep them in our restaurants like they are now? I am convinced that the latter solution is much better for the community, for friends, family and for all other members of society. For starters, who's going to tell me what I can't put in my mouth or what I can't? I make this decision, not anyone else. Additionally, banning trans fats has unnecessary consequences in terms of wasted time, money and effort. I haven't been living under a rock the last few years, so I think people should just be more aware of what they're consuming on a daily basis. I would rather someone educate me than force me on this controversial issue of “trans fats and fats in common”. Following on from this thinking, eliminating trans fats can also eliminate healthy fats in restaurants. One thing is clear from this essay: Canada should not ban trans fats in restaurants. Canada allows citizens to have the freedom to make their own decision about what they want to eat. That's why it's such a big country. Entering a restaurant is usually adults or adults accompanying their children and the adult chooses the meal. This has been going on for decades, so why change it now? Banning trans fats challenges the idea that restaurant customers decide for themselves what they eat, choose and make their own judgments, good or bad. And the fact that trans fats aren't addictive says enough that they shouldn't be banned in any way.
