Politics is an important topic that is discussed daily among adults; however, this does not appear to be the case among younger students. It appears that students lack interest in engaging in political conversation or any political activity. Today, students are not as often interested in watching the news or reading the newspaper, nor do they like to broach the subject. The hypothesis of this research conducted is to study students' true knowledge regarding domestic and foreign political activity, and the initial idea is that students seem politically ignorant. The reason for conducting this study is to gain more knowledge and understand why students are not interested in the subject. Furthermore, the idea of why students do not make an effort to learn about conflicts and other major political activities not only in the United States; but also all over the world. Learning politics and improving my knowledge on the subject fascinates me and I want to better understand this subject of study. With all the research conducted and analysis of other articles from other publishers, it appears that students are politically ignorant and lack interest in politics and political activity within the nation. Other research appears to show that students are unfamiliar with other issues in other countries. According to the Huffington Post, research was conducted on college students during the 2012 elections, the author mentions that today's college students are apathetic toward politics and seek out little news about presidential elections. Additionally, in the investigation section of the case study, students will be asked questions regarding all kinds of political events that have occurred over the past five years. Additionally, questions regarding the level of interest in politics will be asked, including how often students pay attention to the news and other newspapers. The concept of this research is to show how there is a significant decline in political interest among all students, which could eventually lead to a shortage of politicians and leaders in the near future. This could potentially be an issue that needs to be addressed in the future in order to improve the standards of other students and help them further their knowledge in this area of study..
