There is a huge difference between the writing in my own country and that in America. As an international student, I have to balance this culture shock. In a year of international travel, I have certainly learned a lot about how to be a good writer and reader. The most important success I have achieved is that of using the quote extensively in my essay, which seems to be part of the classic American essay god. I've changed a lot about how to write a proper citation. And then, use the quote to talk about my topic in more depth. Here I have a comparison of my quote used in my previous essay and this recent one, between the final version of the Singer Position article and my rewrite of it. This can clearly show us the difference between them and the improvement I made. However, the most important thing I lost is rephrasing the original sentence. Plus, the format is terrible. I even forgot to write down the page number. Despite this, I still want to congratulate myself for having the courage to ask if I could rewrite it, which is considered the most important step for my improvement. Then I used an hour to work on this essay after class. At the same time, I registered for the online writing tutor, used my free time to meet the tutor, and repaired it at home as soon as possible. Above all, I gradually improved. So, I become more and more self-conscious and responsible for the study of writing, which I didn't have enough of before. To summarize, the most useful achievement I have achieved is writing a good quote. Last but not least, I never hesitate to talk with the instructor and be active in my studies. Theses not only constitute writing skills, but also constitute a correct study attitude. I believe I can do even better over the next four years.
