    Genetic engineering has been around for many years and is widely used across the planet. Many people don't realize that genetic engineering is part of their daily lives and their diet. Today, nearly 70 percent of processed foods sold in grocery stores have been genetically modified. Genetic engineering can affect plants, foods, animals and even humans. Although debates about genetic engineering still exist, many people have accepted it because of the health benefits of gene therapy. Lack of knowledge has always misled people because they only focused on the negative perspective of genetic engineering and not its positive perspective. In this article I will talk about how genetic engineering relates to Brave New World, how the history of genetic engineering impacts the world, how genetic engineering works, how people's opinions are influenced , how the side effects can be devastating, how genetic engineering can benefit society and also how ethical issues affect people's views. Brave New World is a city that produces mechanical offspring and manipulates science to genetically modify citizens. In the novel Brave New World, the citizens are all genetically modified. For example, babies are born in the fertilization room where scientists follow the Bokanovsky process in order to produce offspring. The novel begins with the director explaining how the modern fertilization process takes place when he says: “a brief description of the modern fertilization process; spoke first, of course, of its surgical introduction - "the operation voluntarily undergone for the good of society... how the eggs it contained were inspected for abnormalities, counted and transferred to a container porous..."
