Essay / What is a hero? - 1132
What is a hero?I grew up admiring all the heroes who influence the imagination of our society. First I saw a cartoon hero, who turned out to be the mighty and magnificent Hercules. He was the courageous character that everyone wanted to be as a child. However, personal and societal conflicts were factors that helped create Hercules and most heroes in Greek cultures. I then matured and became more ambitious. Soon I was watching the realistic Batman of the 1990s, who became one of the most inspiring heroes of my time. I'm intrigued by the latest Batman movie, "Dark Knight Rises." The complex nature of the storyline conveys subliminal messages intended to address today's issues within my community. This is why I chose to analyze the heroic character, Batman. I think most people can relate to him as an individual and the societal issues he faces. He faces many difficulties and must overcome heroic misconceptions to save himself and his corrupt society. The film's villain, Bane, violently demonstrates that the city of Gotham has become oblivious to the harshness of reality. Nonetheless, creating contemporary cultural ideas to inspire heroes, including my favorite, Batman. He risks his life for the safety of his ungrateful city. He is an ordinary man and portrays an arrogant and wealthy personality. However, his true desires, intentions, and qualities all create the complex figure of Batman. Which generally takes time to fully understand and understand its action in the film. I love that Batman isn't the stereotypical fictional hero created today. Instead, he's an average man with distinctive powers. With the force absent, he uses his knowledge, resources and advanced technology to help his hero...... middle of paper ...... My idea of a hero today is that of the gang modern cartoon. They are more relevant to today's society and may represent problems within it. Nevertheless, I believe that the heroes of the imagination of Greek culture were much more creative and intrinsic. We still involve magnificent heroic stories and will continue for generations to come. I am grateful to Greek culture and its creation of the heroic figure. I grew up with bigger dreams and desires because I ultimately want to be someone's hero one day. My motivation to succeed and the imagination I acquired were influenced by the original heroic stories of the Iliad and the Odyssey. Who could have guessed the impact of Greek literature on society? To be honest, I never realized they created the first heroes. I have so much more gratitude for Greek mythology and the inspiration it gave me.
