After the Middle Ages, the Renaissance gave rise to humanism, inducing human achievement rather than religion, breaking with previous medieval scholasticism and reviving formerly lost Greek and Roman interests. Over the course of three centuries, the political structure of Europe took several different forms through its many political leaders. This political organization reflected the ideals and values of the time, as it broke with the thought process of the past, such as the strong influence of religion, and accepted newer ideas such as individualism, humanism and secularism. As a result, Henry VII made many diplomatic advances through his achievements in economics, foreign policy and trade agreements. Through the transition from the Middle Ages to the Renaissance, as well as political literature and diplomatic advances, the Renaissance significantly influenced modern politics. This was proven by the conversion testimonies of Charles VII and Louis XI, The Prince and Discourses on Livy by Machiavelli, as well as the diplomatic developments of Machivelli and Henry VII. Ultimately, even though the era is only three hundred years old and occurred several centuries ago, the Renaissance was a key moment in the political history of the modern world..
