The performance characteristics of the engine with pure diesel and blended diesel fuel were compared. From the results obtained, it appears that the thermal efficiency of biodiesel is slightly lower than that of pure diesel. This is due to the addition of oxygen atoms with an increase in the mixture value. And the specific fuel consumption is slightly higher with biodiesel compared to pure diesel due to the lower calorific value of biodiesel. It is concluded that biodiesel can be used as an alternative fuel in Diesel engine without any engine.
