The aim of this study is to evaluate the effect of emotional intelligence. A deficiency in emotional intelligence can mean a lack of success and the existence of emotional problems, (Chopra & Kanji, 2010) and the ability to self-motivate (the ability to motivate oneself, to find a reason and the necessary strength to do something, without needing to be influenced to do it by another person) ("Define: Self motivation - Google Search", nd) with self-assessment of one's preparation for life situations. It is necessary to have precise knowledge of the world of work to make good academic and professional decisions. (Nauta, nd). However, students often do not have specific knowledge of careers in their discipline. Psychology students have a rather distorted perception of the activities carried out by clinical psychologists, counselors and psychiatrists. (Nauta, n.d.) Upper-level undergraduates had a poor understanding of applied psychology. (Ellis & Cantrell, 1994)In the literature, it is generally accepted that emotional intelligence is vital for personal development, survival, personal success and excellence. It is now well known that emotions interact with thoughts and vice versa. Therefore, it is necessary to have a framework to assess the phenomenon of emotional intelligence related to any individual. (Chopra and Kanji, 2010) In a study investigating the relationship between learning styles, social emotional intelligence, and academic achievement of undergraduate nursing students (Suliman, 2010), results suggested that it no real relationship exists or that emotional intelligence can be confused with factors such as professional and cultural values.
