    College EssayEducation has always been important to me, especially since only a few members of my family have graduated from college. I faced several obstacles growing up and many people, even some of my family members, thought I couldn't surpass them, but I did. These difficulties only gave me the motivation to achieve my goal: acquiring a university degree. My father's fight was my greatest inspiration. My father had a very difficult childhood and only received part of his high school education. He essentially had other obligations that were unfairly imposed on him. My grandfather, who was the father of seven children, only two of whom were boys, was in an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down. That same year, my father emigrated illegally to the United States in search of a better future for himself and his family. All of her earnings were sent back to Mexico to help her family in the poor region where she lived. He sacrificed his life and education for the well-being of his family.
