They raise awareness in communities who may not necessarily know how to deal with health issues. They provide their health care services, but they also do other things for the community. Mobile health clinics bring education and training to these communities to help people better understand why they are there and what they are there to do. Education is a big part of what they pass on to the community at large. They educate them on issues that concern themselves and those around them. So, they can take preventative measures to not only take better care of themselves, but also of the people around them, in order to live not only a healthy lifestyle, but an overall better lifestyle. To reiterate why mobile health clinics are beneficial to the community, a study was conducted in 2014 by the Health Access and Better Impact via Technology and Services (HABITS) for Life program, carried out by Brown-Connolly et al., which showed the benefits of having such clinics and this took place over a period of three years, 2009-2012.
