Since many dietary patterns begin during childhood, parents and teachers should avoid using fast food as a rewarding meal and attempt to educate children about healthy food choices. Oversized meals to get more bang for your buck can contribute to unnecessary calories and fat. Encouraging the consumption of a balanced diet, rich in complex carbohydrates such as legumes, fruits, vegetables and whole grains, can lead to many health benefits.
