    The Amistad Case shows how the U.S. Constitution truly serves as a framework because the U.S. court had to conduct a speedy and fair trial for the Amistad Africans. Even though they were tough, they were considered a commodity that could be sold over and over again. During the course of the case, we find that they followed due process and did not deprive Amistad Africans of life, liberty, or the pursuit of happiness without conducting a proper trial. These actions all involved constitutional law because American courts had to adhere to the constitution rather than try the case according to their own judgment.
