    The written agreement of Versailles was supposed to be a peace agreement between the Allies and therefore the Germans. Versailles created political discontent and economic chaos in the FRG. The Peace of Versailles outlined the results of hostility and revenge and opened the door to a dictator and War II. November 11, 1918 marked the climax of the primary war. The FRG had given its associate degree and signed a truce agreement. Any controversy starting with the Black Hand, the Italian Black Hand, not to be confused with the Serbian assassination company of the same name, was a method of extortion practiced by gangsters and mafiosi in the early 10th century. It originated in the Kingdom of Naples around 1750. However, it did not become as common until the late 19th century. This is when many Sicilian immigrants arriving in the United States grouped together because they could not communicate with anyone, even northern Italians (Pitkin). Some normal tactics used by the Black Hand included threats, beatings, kidnapping, arson, and even murder. Most threats were sent by letter demanding that the money be deposited in a specific location or they would face consequences. Whatever the problem, the letter was signed with a black imprint. This is why the American press nicknamed the company the Black Hand.
