In 2010, Phoebe Prince was verbally harassed, threatened, cyberbullied and also physically attacked by having a can of Red Bull thrown at her by her peers. These cold and heartless acts made Phoebe feel so worthless and meaningless that on January 14, 2010, Phoebe committed suicide by hanging herself (Andersen, 2012). Phoebe could have been better prepared to defend herself against each of the aggressive behaviors exhibited by the attackers if she had simply understood how. Schools should spend more time teaching students the tools to see themselves as valuable, beautiful, and irreplaceable, and how to recognize and use their strengths and uniqueness.
