Society continues to try to define a baseline for the term beauty. The article “What makes us attractive?” » (August 13, 2009), by Dan Eden for Viewzone, summarizes the facts on attractiveness. Dan Eden lists the preferences of men and women in order to convey the definition of attractiveness and the benefits of being beautiful. However, is there a true definition of beauty? No. Each human being creates their own personal definition of beauty, which can vary by culture, age and individual. Not every “woman looking for a partner likes small eyes, a big nose, and a big jaw.” Even though there is no precise definition of beauty, people can still fall victim to the pursuit of beauty.
