Mission Statement: “The 360 Degree Music Company, developing acts in one place, one space” MethodologyMy research methodology requires researching the music industry and discover what it's missing. There is currently a niche in the market for the creation of a new business model, as it is currently a battle between art and commerce. SynopsisSquare one produces everything under one roof. This will be the change the industry is looking for. The first step is the revolution where business and art can work together and benefit equally. By physically putting everything under one roof, the message is that we can all work together. We will produce a documentary to show the world where the industry is at right now. Many artists have openly spoken about being treated unfairly by their label and/or management. We would put all of this together to present it to the general public and hope for change. We would like to create a distribution channel that gives more to the artist and less to a company like iTunes, which makes huge profits without any contribution to the work they profit from. Place one is an industrial factory that will be transformed into a music company. It will have 3 levels. The first level is the live music space where shows can take place regularly, as well as hookups to a recording studio in the back as well as rehearsal rooms that bands can rent and rehearse. set up a store that will contain the records that were recorded at Square One as well as the artists who performed there. It will serve as an independent record store that will hold exclusivity to the items stocked there.
