An example of a sticky floor would be a minority employee who continues to try to advance and rise to management, but is repeatedly turned down for whatever reason the hiring manager deems appropriate, as he I think a different class of person would be better suited to this position. An example of a glass escalator would be a young white man who starts at a company and very quickly finds himself in a management position. The LGBT community is also not in favor of these terms and concepts. Members of the LGBT community may fall victim to glass ceilings, sticky floors, and glass walls that keep them confined to one area or another. However, depending on who makes hiring and promotion decisions, they could very well end up on a glass escalator just like anyone else. It doesn't seem like these concepts of glass walls, glass ceilings, glass escalators, and sticky floors necessarily belong to Walmart or FedEx. This is simply something to consider, but does not form the basis of the real topic at hand, which is that all employees receive the same type of benefits from their jobs. Benefits are health care, medical care, prescription coverage, vision, hearing and dental care.,
