Essay / World War I was a war - 2500
World War I was a war that took place between July 28, 1914 and November 11, 1918. It was known as the Great War and in the United States United, people knew it as the European war. There were many casualties, both sides lost millions in total. It is well known that the First World War was fought mostly in trenches in which soldiers from both sides fought. New, extremely deadly technologies have emerged. It was the first time that a massive war was fought not only on land and sea, but also in the sky, with planes and under the sea. The two sides were known as the Allies or the Entente . These were mainly Britain, Italy, France, Russia, and later in the war the United States came into play. The Central Powers were Germany, Austria-Hungary and the Ottoman Empire (Turkey). A few smaller nations also decided to align themselves with the Allies or the Central Powers. In the Pacific, an island known as Japan decided to align with the Allies because they wanted to take over German colonies. The Allies defeated the Central Powers and became victorious. In 1917, the United States entered the war and brought many troops to help the Allies. They brought equipment against which the Central Powers had no rival. The war led to a change in the political landscape. There was the destruction of three empires: Ottoman, Austro-Hungarian and Russian. As a result, new boundaries were drawn. Due to the problems caused after the war, it was a cause that led to World War II. My goal in this article is to write about World War I and the new technologies that were used. To achieve this goal, I have organized my article into five main sections. prompted the United States to declare war on the Central Powers. When American troops collaborated with the Allies, power returned to the Allies. After all the fighting, peace treaties were signed. The most famous treaty was the Treaty of Versailles signed on July 28, 1919. These peace treaties were supposed to be an agreement by both sides to stop fighting. In conclusion, World War I was a time of change. This brought further changes to the corrupt government and geography of Europe. New technologies have appeared. At the end of the war, the Treaty of Versailles was ratified and all blame was directed at Germany. They were forced to pay economic reparations. The war was horrible for everyone who fought in it. There were massive losses. More than 16 and a half million people have died.
