    Movie Review - Norma Rae, Erin Brockovich, SilkwoodIn today's society, business ethics and morals play a crucial role in business . Over the past decade, consumers have become more aware of corporate exploitation, greed, and environmental destruction. In the films Norma Rae, Erin Brockovich, and Silkwood, viewers are able to understand the impacts that business decision-making could have on communities and the families of their employees. In many of these cases, there is a David, an average person, who takes on an industry and wins. A common theme among all three films is that of working-class single mothers taking on powerful corporations and politicians in a man's world, which has mistreated and exploited them. The women in all three films could not be frightened or silenced by a corporation or its battalion of lawyers. They were going to fight for what they believed was right, no matter the cost. This is a consequence of a situational ethical decision to place the safety of their colleagues and themselves before personal gratification. Another theme was the unfair treatment of Norma Rae and Silkwood workers. Company employees faced arduous work, excessive noise, authoritarian management and low wages, coupled with job insecurity. In the movie Silkwood, Karen Silkwood suffered unfair treatment when doctors performed the procedure to remove the contamination. It was a painful and humiliating process to be brushed with brushes. This method is unethical since protecting workers should be a company priority. In Norma Rae, Rae's father collapses and dies in the mill.
