Essay / The Digital Age - 2070
The Digital Age Looking back over the past few years, we can see that technology has played an important role in our society today. It changes the way people work, the way they live, but also the way they treat each other. Realizing the importance of technology development, scientists and engineers are constantly inventing and exploring the world of technology to build a better society for everyone. Can you imagine your life with technology in the next thirty years? Do you prefer to work in the office and chat with your colleague face to face or just stay at home, transfer files to your computers and chat with your colleague via web camera from home? Would you rather have a small chip implanted in your body so your family can easily find you? Or do you prefer to have a private life so that no one knows where you are or what you are doing? I can clearly see the heat of discussion right now in every student in CSC 4335 - Computer Societies and Ethics, taught recently by instructor John Clark at the University of Colorado - Denver. Some choose the new technology and others oppose it completely. This raises the question of whether technology will improve everyone's lives or whether it will only make things worse. Will a small chip implanted in your body make you feel more secure or make you feel less intimate? Participate in the class discussion room, reading the article "Onlydisconnect, A Taste of Life in 2033" from the print edition of the Economist on January 23, 2003, and skipping the many frequently asked questions about life with new technologies, I myself believe that the exposure of digital technology in the near future will change the ethical, moral and legal problems of every human being...... middle of paper... ... see. With the advantage of the digital world, women will have more opportunities in life and participate in their favorite clubs. If she has the chance to spend time with her husband and children in the real world, her relationship and the bond between her and her children will be better. Plus, if Dick stops worrying about his privacy, his life will be better since he hasn't done anything wrong. Regardless, what will your life be like in the next 30 years?WORKS CITED1. “Only Disconnect, A Taste of Life in 2033” http://www.economist.com/opinion/displayStory.cfm?story_id=15342952. “Now digital spy camera technology broadens the view” - Laurie J.
