Michael Mann does a good job incorporating scenes with little music to help set the mood of the scene. Michael Mann's casting choice was also excellent, with actors such as Will Smith and Jamie Foxx. Will Smith does an excellent job displaying an almost uncanny mastery of the real Ali's mannerisms and speech patterns. Ali is a very inspiring and encouraging film that allows the viewer to get a closer look at the boxing career and legal troubles of Muhammad Ali. Michael Mann could improve this film by also focusing on Muhammad Ali's personal life outside of boxing and trials. The strong points of this film were the excellent acting and the intense boxing scenes which made the viewer feel like they were watching a real boxing match..
